Regularity65 vs Regularity50
This year there are two categories in the Rock n Roll Classics. OMLOOP VAN VLAANDEREN REGULARITY. Pilots who like an extra sporting challenge will start in the 'REGULARITY65' category where the average speed is set at a maximum of 65 km/h. Those who prefer to take it a bit easier in terms of steering can enter the 'REGULARITY50' category this year. A category that is very accessible to tick participation in the A&D Omloop van Vlaanderen off your bucket list.

Match in the match
The regularity category during the 63rd A&D Omloop van Vlaanderen not only accounts for 35% of the competitors' field, but the regularity competitors will get the attention they deserve! Besides the separate regularity car park and regularity service area, sporting developments will be followed throughout the rally weekend by the official 'rally radio' (RADIO I.R.O - 107.2 & 107.6 FM). Sporting developments which, by the way, announce themselves interestingly, as the rhythm will be interrupted several times during the regularity stages by virtual stamp controls. In some regularity trials, the average speed will only be announced 15 seconds before the starting gun in the form of an old-fashioned time table. Programmable trip masters will become more superfluous than ever during these trials and the essence of regularity driving will remain guaranteed.

Competitors in the regularity category will join the BRC pack on Friday evening, but on Saturday they will drive their own race with their own timing. It will guarantee a high race rhythm without interference from possible delays of the 'modern' rally section. In addition, it allows spectators to more easily pick up a passage of the regularity between some BRC passages. The specific regularity timing can be consulted here.

Alfa Romeo, Lancia Fulvia, Volvo Amazon, Renault R5, Austin Mini, MG, Datsun versus Ford-Porsche-Lancia-Opel
There is no shortage of historic cars with motorsport history. Of course, the 'classic' brands Ford, Opel, Porsche or Lancia cannot be missing from an entry list 100% reserved for historic vehicles. But those who want to soak up nostalgia will be able to indulge themselves by picking up passages from the other bolides on the list of participants. How about a Volvo Amazon, Alfa Romeo GT1300 Junior, Lancia Fulvia 1.6 HF, BMW 2002, Toyota Celica TA22, Renault R5 Alpine, Austin Mini, Citroën AX Sport, MG B, Datsun 240Z, etc...?

De Wolf-Cole (regularity65) and Varrewaere-Cracco (regularity50) start as favourites
Sam De Wolf and co-pilot Julie Cole will start as favourites in the 'regularity65' category after their brilliant 2nd place last year. No lack of resistance though, with 'Tour Auto' winner Aswin Pyck at the start who will undoubtedly know how to guide his pilot Gaëtan Van Calster brilliantly. They will also be joined by father & son De Jaeger (3rd last year), Hendrickx-Clauw, Savic-Pelckmans and Vandeputte-Lienne.

In the regularity50 category, home riders Varrewaere-Cracco -backed by their high race rhythm- will start as favourites. The biggest opposition in a category where the differences between them will remain small will undoubtedly come from Berloo-Del'Haye, Debeil-Barbez, Verhage-Puype, Vander Stichele-Perdu and Franchi-Thirionet. Or will the surprise come from the Kristensen-Rasmussen team in a stunning Ford Escort Mexico, all the way over from Denmark? Answer Saturday evening around 18h00 on the finish podium in Roeselare!
