On 6 and 7 September, the 64th A&D Omloop van Vlaanderen will herald the second half of the season of the Kroon Oil Belgian Rally Championship. This year, the championship's 'oldest rally' will again feature thoroughly modified special stages that will offer both competitors and spectators an unforgettable experience. Once again, the organisers are going all out for an optimal experience. This also applies to the VAS and ASAF drivers for whom the Royal Automobile Club Midden Vlaanderen is making extra efforts.
UNIQUE ACTION FOR VAS & ASAF PILOTS
As announced earlier, we have a special promotion for VAS & ASAF pilots! This is your chance to take part in a large-scale two-day race for the attractive rate of just 700 euros. This special offer is valid for national classes 1, 2 and 3, as well as historic cars. The condition is that the pilot drives with a one-day licence RACB. However, the co-pilot may be an experienced competitor with a national licence so this restriction does not apply to him or her. Seize this unique opportunity to experience the excitement of a major rally race without it costing you a fortune!
COURSE CHANGES KEEP RACE EXCITING FOR EVERYONE
The familiar stages Beveren, Zoning, Houthulst and Zilverberg remain unchanged from last year but there are also some changes. An entirely new special stage, KP Koolskamp, will be introduced. This test takes place in Ardooie, Zwevezele and Pittem and promises to be a challenging experience, with two spectator points where catering will be available. In addition, KP Passendale is undergoing significant changes. KP Rumbeke returns in a redesigned format and will act as the power stage this year. KP De Ruiter will be missing this year due to our rotation of special stages. This system ensures that the race remains challenging for drivers and that the same local residents are not always inconvenienced.
FOCUS ON EXPERIENCE
The service area on Zwaaikomstraat, the roundabout at KP Zoning, the stage and the plaza with the extensive catering have been merged into a seamlessly integrated area. This set-up has been enthusiastically received by participants, local residents and the public alike. This public zone at the 64th A&D Omloop van Vlaanderen is completely free of charge. For those who want to feel the rally fever even earlier, there is good news. On Wednesday 4 September, the shakedown will be held, transforming Slypskapelle into a lively rally village. Entry to the rally village will also be free.
With the revamped course and a strong focus on accessibility for all teams and public, the 64th A&D Omloop van Vlaanderen promises to be an unforgettable highlight of the rally season.
